How does the entertainment industry work?

I’m finding it harder and harder to do 'deep work'—you know, that state where you’re fully immersed in a complex task for hours. Every time I get close to that flow state, a Slack message or a news alert pulls me back to the surface. It’s like we’ve traded depth for breadth. We know a little bit about everything but don't have the focus to master anything truly difficult. I’m starting to think that the real competitive advantage in the future won't be intelligence or talent, but simply the rare ability to focus on one thing for more than thirty minutes.

You’ve hit on a crucial point for the future of the workforce. As basic tasks get automated by AI, the only thing left for humans is high-level creative and strategic thinking—the kind of work that requires intense, uninterrupted focus. The article suggests that 'focus' will be the most sought-after skill in the 21st-century job market.
